Why we built this
We wanted a better way to ask the next question.
The hardest part of preserving family history is not the recording technology. It is the friction around everything else: what to ask, when to ask it, how to make it feel natural, and how to keep going long enough for the full story to emerge.
Make Memoir removes that friction. A question arrives by email or text. The storyteller opens a link and records in their browser. The answer becomes a story the family can read, share, and eventually print.
We built it to feel calm, human, and easy enough that a family member can actually keep using it week after week.

We built the tool we wished we had when we still had the chance.
We are a small team in Lincoln, Nebraska, but the problem is universal. Every family has stories that should be passed down clearly, not remembered vaguely. Our job is to make that process easier, kinder, and more durable.
